Welcome to the web site of Process Tomography Ltd.
The easiest way to navigate this web site is by using the TABS (Home,
News, Products etc.) at the top of each web page (including this one),
or by using the links highlighted in blue.
Most of the detailed information on this site is in .pdf format and
requires a suitable reader to be installed on the viewing PC (eg Adobe
Acrobat, which can be downloaded by clicking here if it is
not already installed).
We specialise in the design and manufacture of a wide range of products for measuring very small values of
electrical capacitance. These include Electrical
Capacitance Tomography (ECT) systems, which allow the concentration
distribution of dielectric materials (oils, plastics, minerals etc.) inside
closed vessels to be viewed, measured and captured at high frame rates.
Where the vessel walls are insulating, the measurements can be completely
non-invasive.
Details of our new TFL R5000
very high speed Electrical Capacitance Tomography and Flow Analysis system
can be found here.
We can now supply a ranges of standard ECT sensors for use with liquids
and granular solids and details of these sensors can now be found via the
links on our products
page.
For information about ECT and Process Tomography, please read About ECT and for information about our
full range of measurement hardware and software, click here. You can read about current developments at
PTL on our PTL Latest News page.
Most of the information on this web site can be viewed and downloaded
directly by clicking on the Support Tab. For
example, all of our product sales and applications
literature is available online, together with some examples
of applications of ECT technology. These documents can be viewed and downloaded
in .pdf format from our Support page.
You will find a list of selected academic
technical papers on ECT here, including a full list of papers at the
last 5 biennial World Congress meetings on Industrial Process Tomography
(WCIPT). We have also included a set of links to a number of related tomography research organisations
here.
Information about the use of ECT in multiphase flow measurement can be
found here
and further information about ECT-based flow measurement products from our
partner company Tomoflow Ltd. www.tomoflow.com.
can be viewed and downloaded from our Download page.
Please contact us to request a quotation or
for pricing information. We are a small highly-professional company and can
respond quickly and flexibly to requests to supply modified or specialist
equipment or to requests for consultancy work related to our innovative
capacitance measurement technology.
